Welcome to the exciting world of English and American literature!

This is Ms. Barich’s eighth year teaching at Excel High School. She currently teaches Honors American Literature II, Honors World Literature, and AP Language and Composition. Originally from Los Angeles, she came to Boston for her undergraduate work at Brandeis University. She continued graduate studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Known for her demanding style, Ms. Barich prides herself on challenging all of her students. She knows that they can all succeed if high expectations are set for them. Outside of school Ms. Barich enjoys oil painting and teaching dance. In fact, Ms. Barich often incorporates art, drama, and movement into her English classes.
