Ms. Noriega's Picture

Ms. Noriega received her B.A. in Art History from Umass-Boston. She holds a Masters in Education and a Masters in Management with concentration in International Business and Diversity from Cambridge College. Ms. Noriega Received a Principalship Residency Network Principal Certification in June 2003 from Northeastern University; she was a member of the first Boston Principal Fellows program designed to prepared Principals/Headmasters. She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study degree from University of Massachusetts Boston.

Ms. Noriega has taken classes at Harvard University and the University of Salamanca, Spain on Linguistics and French. She gave a lecture on Cultural and Linguistic Diversity at Northeastern University and presented a paper on XXth Century Spanish Poetry at the AATSP National Convention in Madrid, Spain. She taught Spanish for several years at the International Language Institute in Boston. Ms. Noriega was the Director of the “Primavera” Program at Concilio Hispano for Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Preparation for Higher Education. In 1995 Ms. Noriega started working for the Boston Public Schools. She is one of the Boston Arts Academy founding faculty. She founded BAA’s International Program in Spain and Mexico. Ms. Noriega has trained Spaniard, Argentine, and Brazilian teachers in how to integrate arts and language in their curriculum and in their professional development. She has travel to more than 20 different countries. Her hobbies include reading, writing, swimming, painting, traveling, martial arts, and dancing.
